Following are some pointers with regards to parts, maintenance and repairs of ProForm
replacement parts can be ordered on-line from ProForm
directly. Only order parts on-line if you are out of your manufacturer or extended warranty
period. If your equipment is still under warranty, contact ProForm
by phone to order replacement parts.
ProForm give a 30-day trial period on all products. If you are not satisfied with the ProForm treadmill in that time frame, you can call 1-866-896-9777 for a return authorization number and ProForm will pick it up and pay the return shipping. Your order will be refunded for all charges less the initial shipping charge once returned to their warehouse.
Owner's manuals may be purchased online, or can be downloaded in pdf format.
For general maintenance of your ProForm treadmill, there are only a couple of things that are recommended. First, routinely check the tension on your walking belt. You should be able to lift your belt 3-4 inches from the platform at the outer edges. Secondly, check the nuts and bolts to make sure that everything stays tight. If you have an extended warranty through Universal Technical Services you can contact them to see if you are eligible for an extension. Their phone number is 1-800-677-3838.
Some problems that may occur with your ProForm treadmill are;
* The console only reads zeros
* The belt stops when walking on the treadmill
* The walking belt needs to be adjusted (loosened or tightenend)
* The speed and/or incline of the treadmill needs to be calibrated
* There is no reading from the chest pulse monitor
* There is no reading from the hand grip pulse bar
* There is white powder coming from the treadmill
